Henrik Enderlein (13. September 1974) is a German economist. He is director of the Jacques Delors Institute in Berlin and Professor of Political Economy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. From 2001 to 2003, he has worked as an economist at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt before accepting a position as assistant professor in economy at Freie Universität in Berlin. He has also been a guest professor at the Harvard Kennedy School (Chaire Pierre Keller, 2012-2013) and at Duke University (Chaire Fulbright, 2006-2007). His father is Hinrich Enderlein, a politician for the Free Democratic Party of Germany. He gratuaded his Abitur in a Waldorf School in 1994. He went on to study Political Science and Economics at the Paris Institute of Political Studies in France, this was followed by a doctoral fellowship at Columbia University in New York from 1998 to 1999 and from 1999 to 2001 he became a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. His thesis supervisor there was Fritz W.
